oh right... winter

i'm out in west virginia tonight, and heading off for some snowboarding tomorrow. and while it's still january, in dc, there's no snow anymore. it's just cold. so i guess i kind of forgot that it's winter. until i got out to west virginia. where there is fresh snow on the ground. who knew? i suppose west virginians knew, actually. but any way... i know this picture is blurry, but i still like the light, and the faint color of the slate at the bottom of the steps.
