packing

despite the number of times that i've now traveled to africa, packing is always a pain. it used to be that i would start planning for the items i needed to pack a week before my departure. now, i've got this nonsense idea that i don't need time to think about it anymore. so i wait until the day before i leave to start getting my stuff together. frankly, not the smartest way to go about things. at any rate, this trip i actually did all right. and this is actually towards the final stages of packing. although i think that after this i did end up taking everything out of the suitcase and re-doing it. sigh.
