dusk?

recently, i've found myself not taking pictures during the day. i guess the novelty of going through this exercise has started to wear off, so i'm not as determined to actually leave my office in the middle of the day when it's light out to try and get some interesting shots. while i'm hoping this is a phase, i think it presents me with an interesting challenge, especially since it still gets dark early. i guess i'm learning how to take photos in low-light settings.

tonight i left the office around 5:30 to make my way to class, and i guess i found myself out around dusk? "dusk" is one of those words i've heard a million times, but never quite sure what it means. and so i looked it up: "the state of period of partial darkness between day and night; the dark part of twilight". frankly, i'm not sure this clears anything up for me, but i'm going to go ahead and say that this is dusk.
